Priding itself as having the largest breadth of printing solutions in the market On Demand looked to enhance offerings to its wholesale clientele via an online ordering and artwork submission portal.

The Challenge

Looking for a smarter way to streamline the printing of significant volumes of offset and large- format digital printing, On Demand was keen to find a self-service solution for its clients that would enable them to keep print prices low and print quality high.

The Solution

On Demand turned to Workstream Solutions’ suite of integrated technologies to offer their clients a complete end-to-end service, from artwork generation to print.

In addition, On Demand was able to tap into the network of existing users associated with Workstream Solutions’ design clients using CampaignTRACK and boosted their sales by 30% with no additional marketing effort.



Facts

  • On Demand handle in excess of 200 print jobs per day which they run across five different print presses. Their printers include the HP Indigo 5000, the first of its kind in Australia, a VuTek Grand Format Flat Bed printer and a Heidelberg Speedmaster CTP Offset Printing Press.
  • On Demand was able to seamlessly receive orders and artwork from over 530 clients, some being ‘Direct Retail Clients’ where On Demand had a one-to-one relationship, as well as ‘Wholesale Clients’ who were clients of other companies licensing the JobTRACK Studio platform.
  • Using CampaignTRACK On Demand are now able to offer their clients a web based means of ordering and tracking print orders. Clients are able to track the status of any order which is reported back through to the client desktop.
  • Generic print quotes can be created and products options are pre-defined by type, print quantities and processing method within the CampaignTRACK shopping cart. Flexible pricing models and price override technology ensures that clients are always charged the correct negotiated rate card price.
  • Behind the scenes the JobTRACK Studio system provides On Demand employees with tools for work-load management per print-line. Supervisors are able to manage deadlines and set up automated job task-routing per product line providing automated workflow allocation.
  • In addition, when clients upload their PDF artwork into CampaignTRACK for delivery to On Demand, files are automatically flight checked and errors reported, removing all print quality issues upfront.
  • Clients are also able to immediately know realistic delivery dates according to product deadline rules. The system also sends them email deadline reminders and, on approval, artwork is automatically delivered to the Print Factory.
  • Despatch management tools also make despatch planning at the factory much easier. Clients, Direct Retail or Wholesale, are able to track the progress of their orders 24/7 through unique user logins.
  • Semi-automated billing has also been a huge win for On Demand who have linked their accounting systems JobTRACK Studio so that invoices are automatically generated and processed for their thousands of jobs at month end.
